Le Torri is amazing! Last night we shared a beautiful meal with all of our new friends! Today we are relaxing by the pool in the hot Tuscan sun!
Our week is almost done and we don't want to leave!!!! We knew Le Torri would be perfect but it exceeded our expectation! Gabrielle's family has such a big heart. Always smiling, ready to help or simply making you feel like home and part of their family. Don't miss the welcome buffet and every other opportunity to taste their cooking... It's absolutely divine! Gabrielle is always there to help us with our visit, reservations and tips to make everything easy and stress free. We were there with our 10 months old and it was a charm. We got everything we needed in a blink of an eye. If you are looking for paradise in tuscany... It's right here at Le Torri in this gorgeous villa!
Just arrived at Le Torri. Beautiful place and Gabrielle is a fantastic tour guide!
We have had a fantastic time here, as always Signora Cantini's cooking has been the high point of our two weeks, it is always hard to beat home cooked food. We will be back, we always feel so comfortable here. Thank you Gabri.
Fantastic holiday. Sorry today is our last day. Weather has been wonderful. Mama's cooking was superb. Gabriela is a fabulous host. I can't wait to come back.
So sad to be leaving after our fourth visit, thank you Gabrielle and family for wonderful holidays. Beautiful surroundings, amazing food and lovely company, we will definitely be back soon we love Le Torri so much x
Spent the day in Sienna one day prior to Il Palio, the craziest horse race in the world run around Piazza del Campo (the public square in front of Town Hall) right in the middle of medieval Sienna... so amazing to be here in the midst of all the excitement as all the Siennese contrada (neighborhoods) set up huge rows of tables in the streets where hundreds of people have dinner tonight, the young men marching through the streets beating their drums and twirling their contrada flags. Just by chance we watched the entire population of Chiocciola (near the gate of San Marco, where we entered Sienna today after parking illegally on the side of the road on the edge of a cliff... along with 500 other cars, of course) march towards the Campo with their horse and jockey in the lead, it was thrilling!!
In my American mind's eye, Le Torri is just what I imagined an ancient Tuscan villa to be - if that villa had been immaculately maintained for the last few hundred years! It is beautiful, charming, filled everywhere with flowers, olive and fruit trees (lemon, orange, pear, plum...), surrounded by vineyards and the rolling Tuscan countryside with Castello Poppiano atop the nearest hill (with a direct-purchase shop where you can buy their own Chianti Guicciardini and olive oil), with the blessed sound of silence broken only by a rooster crowing and the occasional vehicle driving on Via Poppiano.... Ah, no wonder some visitors come to Tuscany and never leave.
Amazing location.
